Updates to the MN Voterfile


Approximately 660,000 out of 920,000 August Primary vote records were uploaded into VAN in the middle of this past week. We will continue to periodically upload the remaining records as final counties throughout the state return data to the SOS. As of last Friday, early vote locations are available in VAN. We will continue to maintain this data if changes are made due to COVID-19. 


Beginning on Friday, September 18th we will update early voters every morning except Sundays and we will automatically suppress voters who already voted. You can remove this suppression by Absentee Voting search criteria. Daily updates will be completed by 11 am September 18th through October 19th. Starting on October 19th, daily updates will be completed by 7:30 am. 


Be sure to check with your mail vendor(s) for the last day they are able to send a mailer and request your final mailer exports from VAN with sufficient time. We are able to return exports within 24 hours if all information is properly provided.
