After you cut your turf, you will most likely want to generate list numbers for your turfs!
To do this in bulk for multiple turfs, in the top left corner of VAN, search for “My Turfs” and click on the "My Turfs" option in blue.
You will see a screen like this that will contain the turf you cut:
To generate a list number for each turf, you can click the check box to the left of the name of your list, in this case “Test Turf”, and then click on the “Quick Actions” dropdown:
Under Quick Actions, you will see an option that says “Generate List Number”. Click on this, and you should see a screen similar to the following:
In this context, “Map Region” is your list, which in this case has 5 turfs. You can create turf off of more than one list at a time, but we generally recommend doing one at at time to keep track!
Once your the above screen appears and you click “Next”, you’ll be taken to this screen:
On this screen, you’ll want to select this “!Doorknock Walk Sheet” Report Format, the “Walk” option under Contacted How, and your desired script. We recommend leaving all of the Sort Orders as created for the cleanest miniVAN presentation.
If you are running a GOTV program, at the bottom of this page you can include an Early Vote Location Cover Sheet, exclude anyone from your list who has already Early or Absentee Voted, or exclude anyone who has voted on Election Day.
Once you have set up the format of your turf, you’ll want to click the “Generate List Numbers” button in the bottom righthand side of the screen. This will take you back to the My Turfs screen where you will see a list number to the right of how many doors are in your turf!
